You can also play streaming media content, such as music and video from the Internet, by connecting to your home network and router. You can even play files saved on a USB storage device such as an iPOD, USB thumb drive, USB disk, and some digital cameras with a
USB interface by simply connecting any of these to the front USB port of the Digital Entertainer. The NETGEAR Digital Entertainer is Intel Viiv verified, enabling you to take advantage of Intel's new platform for digital entertainment.

The Digital Entertainer EVA700 supports seamless access to content, applications and services available on Intel Viiv technology-enabled PCs. It also supports access to content on Microsoft Windows Media Center PCs through Windows Media Connect, and other universal plug-and-play (UPnP AV) media servers, such as TwonkyVision.

You can use the wired ethernet port to connect the EVA700 directly to your wired home network, or add the optional Powerline HD Ethernet Adapter Kit (HDXB101) for high quality video and maximum streaming speeds across multiple rooms with much better results than a
standard 802.11g WiFi network. The NETGEAR Digital Entertainer gives you easy, remote control access to access to digital media files on your home network, as well as from popular Internet sites without getting up from the couch.
